The summer wind brought in...

This summer has been glorious. Absolutely awesome. I cannot believe how much water we have received.  As a child the rain was my favorite...so I sent the kids out in it and watched them love it like a trip to Disney land or a brand new video game.  They stayed in the water four almost 2 hours. I sat and smelled the air, and the beauty of my street amplified in greenness by mother nature's shower.  Just 2o minutes before this shower began we were cleaning up our very first Yard sale!!!!  The yard sale was a success, and I thoroughly enjoyed watching humans shop through my goods.

 

If anyone would have told me that I would love two little beings like I love these two...I would have called them liars.  Many of my friends tried to prepare  me for the depth of prayers I would mutter and I thought I could grasp it...but nothing has made my heart jump and delve into happiness like these two.

I am learning to stop what I am doing, or thinking, and enjoy my children NOW. It is unrealistic to think I can do it all the time, but in moments like this, I am fed with hands that remind me how wonderful my life is.

Then I balance the check book, separate a giant battle over a stuffed animal...mop the floor, fold laundry, give hugs and tickles, then grocery shop, put out a fire over hurt feelings....then memorize music, teach a piano lesson/voice lesson...and this is the job I feel lucky to have.
