"Black is the new pink"

Wicked is a phenomenon. And by that I mean, once you see it, you will be changed for the better. Wicked is about two people who have nothing in common, are very uncomfortable with each others differences, and would never choose to be friends. Somehow, they end up being best friends. Without giving too much away, I will say that anyone who dares to love outside of their comfort zone will really appreciate this musical. If you dare to see the world in a different way you will walk away from wicked feeling more alive. I sure did.

From a person who has studied music since the age of 13 I enjoy when a composer seeks song writing that shows off how versatile the human voice is. The voice is a wonderful instrument capable of illustrating a wide range of emotion and candor. The music in wicked is brilliant. From the hated chants of the common society in masses, to the sweet and innocent charm of a broken soul, it is a musical capable of incredible insight through music.

In all, Wicked is comically intense, with a message that everyone needs.

Here we are, puffy from excitement, anticipation, and a really great meal Ryan surprised me with.

Proper documentation of all McMillan's attending. (I am taking the picture. I missed the others who couldn't make it. :( )

My new BFF Donna. Did I mention how much I love her voice? She will find out soon we are best friends, I am just trying to figure out a proper warning of such.

Waiting patiently, (with elation, soaking wet) for autographs.

Retrieving autographs...(Note me and Donna's noses...we could be related.)

I am so grateful to Ron and Lynn for including us in this evening...truly, it made my century.

I am also grateful to have been there with people who had never seen it, and did not know what to expect, their excitement was just as much fun as the musical itself.

....And the red sea parted...

So, there I was during Holy week, exhausted emotional, lots of tears from WICKED and beautiful music of Easter...when it occurred to me:

"CONDITIONAL LOVE IS NOT BAD IF YOU KNOW WHAT THE CONDITIONS ARE."

Let it be known you heard it hear folks.
